Homicide Attempt: Man Stabbed In Head, Back, Neck At Chambersburg Bar; Police

A man is in a trauma center after a brutal stabbing at a Chambersburg Bar, police announced on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Basil McLeod, 38, of Chambersburg, was charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault following the assault at Legendz Bar, the police said.

Officers were called to the bar "for a fight involving a subject armed with a knife. It was reported that a stab victim had sustained serious injuries," as stated in the release.

They arrived to find the the victim "stabbed the victim several times in the head, neck and back" around 1:12 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, as detailed in the release.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and then moved a trauma center, the police explained.
